Right behind him was the new league leader, Air Yordan (Garrett), with the second-best MASH of 67-38-5, and not far behind was chicksDigtheLongball (Luke, The Commish), rounding out the top three with a strong MASH of 65-37-8.

Focus on the Shakeup: A New #1, Hard Luck, and a Spectacular Crash!

All Hail King Garrett!

For the first time this season, we have a new name at the absolute top. After weeks of elite play, Air Yordan (Garrett) has officially taken the throne as the #1 team in the standings! His dominant 8-2 victory over JOBU, backed by the week's second-best MASH, was the final push he needed to claim the top spot. A huge congrats to G on his incredible run.

Beetle's Frustrating Week

In a perfect example of how MASH doesn't always equal an H2H win, The Beetle Bunch (Ben) had a frustrating week. He posted the best MASH performance in the league, a feat that should guarantee a win, but was fought to a 4-4-2 standstill by a scrappy Bro Bichette team. This brutally unlucky result cost him dearly in the standings, dropping him to #3.

JOBU's Crash Back to Earth

After a couple of respectable weeks, JOBU (Jordy) had a complete meltdown. He was thoroughly dismantled 2-8 by the new #1, Air Yordan, and his performance earned him the week's worst MASH. A very tough outing for Jordy.

This Week's Hard Luck Award 😢

There's no other choice. This week's award goes to The Beetle Bunch (Ben). It is the definition of fantasy baseball pain to put up the #1 MASH performance of the week (77-24-9) and not even get the H2H victory for your efforts. That 4-4-2 tie against a team with a much lower MASH is a brutal beat that cost him his chance to reclaim the top spot in the standings.

While Beetle's frustration was the most glaring, he wasn't the only manager feeling the sting of a great week being neutralized. Both Handsy McNasty (Ads) and the Commish (Luke) can consider themselves charter members of this week's "Hard Luck Tie Club." Ads posted the week's 5th best MASH and the Commish had the 3rd best, both clearly top-tier performances that would steamroll most opponents. Their reward? Battling their respective opponents to frustrating 5-5-0 ties. Doing almost everything right and still not getting the "W" is a special kind of fantasy purgatory.

This Week's "Got Away With One" Award 🍀

On the flip side of that matchup, the "lucky" award goes to Bro Bichette (Zach)! Going up against the week's #1 MASH performance from Beetle should have resulted in a decisive loss. Instead, Killer ground out wins in just the right categories to force a 4-4-2 tie. Escaping with a tie against a MASH monster like that is a massive moral victory.

Dumpster Fire of the Week: JOBU's Freefall 🔥

This one was unfortunately an easy call. JOBU (Jordy) takes the Dumpster Fire crown for Week 12. Posting the absolute WORST MASH of the week (20-88-2) and getting blown out 2-8 is a recipe for this award. After a strong MASH just last week, this is a spectacular crash back to reality for Hallett's squad.
