What a week! Some MASH records were truly off the charts, leading to some of the most lopsided H2H scores we've seen all year, while other matchups came down to the wire with surprising results.

Hardly worth even writing this week, Air Yordan (Garrett) absolutely obliterated the league, posting a mind-boggling MASH of 95-10-5! That is pure, unadulterated dominance. We'd have to check the record books, but that has got to be up there.

Climbing up the standings, but still far off in the MASH rankings, we had Welcome to the Jungle (Neate) with the week's second-best at 77-31-2 (along with a Homer Cup 🏆 victory for the week), and not far behind, Bronx Bombers (Doug) put up a strong third-place MASH of 68-37-5.

The King Has Fallen! (For a week, at least)

In the matchup we highlighted, the unthinkable happened! UneDeaux (Turg), yes, that Turg (formerly Staff Infection), took down the #1 ranked The Beetle Bunch (Ben) in a tight 5-4-1 battle! Both teams had very similar MASH records for the week (Ben 53-50-7, Turg 53-47-10), but Turg found a way to get those crucial category wins. Is Turg's resurgence for real? Taking down the top dog is a massive statement!

In the battle for the bottom, Welcome to the Jungle (Neate), powered by the week's second-best MASH, decisively beat Bro Bichette (Zach) 7-3. This loss officially sends Killer Kilby to the 12th and final spot in the standings. Rough times for Zach.

This Week's Hard Luck Award 😢

This week, the award goes to the dethroned king, Ben (The Beetle Bunch). Despite a solid MASH (5th best at 53-50-7), he lost a nail-biter 4-5-1 to a resurgent UneDeaux (Turg), who had a very similar MASH. Losing by the slimmest of margins when you're the #1 team and still put up a good performance is tough to swallow.

This Week's "Got Away With One" Award 🍀

This week's winner is clearly Joel. What happened to the Thompson Boys? After a steady presence at #2 in the standings, they posted the WORST MASH of the week (23-84-3) and got upset 3-7 by BaseOnBalls (Walks), who had the 10th-ranked MASH, who capitalized on their opponent's weak week. That's a huge upset win, but sometimes you have to be lucky to be good.

Dumpster Fire of the Week: TNTNT's Implosion 🔥

It was a race to the bottom for MASH this week, but TNTNT (The Thompson Boys) take the cake. Posting the league's WORST MASH (23-84-3) and losing 3-7 to a team that also had a bottom-3 MASH is a recipe for disaster. For a team sitting at #2 in the standings, this was a shocking and comprehensive failure across nearly every category (bottom 3 in R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, K/9, NSVH, NW – that’s 8 cats!).
